Historical background
That complex originated as a summer/rural residence of the Sbrojavacca family and was used for that purpose for about two centuries.
Since 1881 the villa has been bequeathed to the Charity House of the hilanthropist Filippo Renati of Udine and has been devoted to the collegiate activities of that pious work. With the outbreak of World War I, the mansion became a military hospital, while between the First and Second World Wars Jewish tenants apparently lived there.
Once these historical phases were concluded, the buildings poured into a state of abandonment from which they were saved first through use by the local population for the organization of the village festival, and then as a result of their recent purchase by private individuals, who carried out major conservative restoration work.
